On January 23-25, the first working meeting of the representatives of the Erasmus+ CBHE project “Enhancement of special oral healthcare practice and lifelong learning among dental practitioners in Georgia (HEAL)” (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND-1-101129331) consortium took place at European University.
The kick-off meeting was attended by the representatives of all partners of the HEAL. On a national level, the project partners with the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, and Akaki Tsereteli State University. When it comes to the international members of the project consortium, they are as follows: Poznan University of Medical Sciences (Poland), Istanbul Aydin University (Turkey), and Sofia Medical University (Bulgaria).
Issues related to grant management, project work packages, and relevant activities were discussed in detail during the working meeting. What is more, an action plan for the first six months was set up by the project team, and thematic task forces were also formed.
The aim of the HEAL project is to contribute to shaping and enhancing oral health workforce by upgrading/modernising the curricula of dentistry programmes at Georgian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality dental care and service to patients with disabilities in Georgia.
