On July 1-4, 2024, within the Erasmus+ Institutional Development Project “Enhancement of special oral healthcare practice and lifelong learning among dental practitioners in Georgia (HEAL)” (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND-1-101129331) project consortium Members from Georgia (European University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Akaki Tsereteli State University, National Center for Education Quality Enhancement) visited Sofia Medical University (Bulgaria) on a working visit.
Within the framework of the visit, the members of the consortium held meetings with the Dean of the dental faculty, the deputy dean in the educational direction, as well as the heads of the departments of therapeutic dentistry and orthopedic dentistry. Views were shared on the best practices of the Faculty of Dentistry of Sofia University in the field of undergraduate education. Members of the working group also met with the president of the Bulgarian Dentists Association, who is also the elected president of the International Federation of Dentists (FDI). Also the Vice-President of the Bulgarian Dentists’ Association and the Vice-Rector of Sofia University in the field of postgraduate education. The peculiarities of postgraduate education and continuous medical education in Bulgaria were discussed with them. Meetings were held in the Department of International Integration and Project Financing.
